Lady Gaga released her latest single ‘Stupid Love’ today and the world (and Twitter) finally got to hear LG6 for the first time – let’s ignore the leak for now.
The song and accompanying music video proved to be everything Little Monsters have been asking for and more. From the slick pop beats, to the colourful outfits, to the choreography – Gaga made sure the children were well fed.
As per usual, it was simply too much for gay Twitter to handle.

Gaga dons an intergalactic pink outfit in a surreal video that appears to reference an incredibly popular Japanese TV show, Super Sentai. English speaking audiences are probably a bit more familiar with its American adaptation – Power Rangers. It seems like we’re not the only ones who noticed the similarities either…

One thing is definitely for sure, the intern running Power Rangers’ social media accounts is having an absolute field day.

The video itself hasn’t even been out a day and it’s already reached over two million views on Youtube. Though that probably shouldn’t come as surprise – it’s been three years since Gaga’s last solo single. Needless to say, this song has been ‘The Cure’ that’s satiated Gaga fans after a long, long drought.
On iTunes, ‘Stupid Love’ has topped the charts in 52 countries – including the United States, the United Kingdom and Brazil. Even everyone’s favourite sapiosexual, Mark Ronson, tweeted his appreciation for the pop banger.
Stupid Love is that pure pop abba Android shit that I need right now. Nice job @bloodpop @ladygaga max martin and @iamTchami

Enough of the statistics and celebrity endorsements though. Little Monsters finally have some new material to work with and they’ve been working hard and fast to make the best ‘Stupid Love’ memes on Twitter.

As mentioned earlier, the first single in Gaga’s newest album, LG6, actually leaked back in January. Poor Gaga just can’t seem to catch a break. First Art Pop, then Joanne, ‘Stupid Love’ was just the latest in a long line of Gaga leaks. At least we can all joke about it though.
