Chair of the festival, Kayleigh Bowery, wrote that Letterkenny Pride champions creating a welcoming environment for everyone.

“Letterkenny Pride is about bringing people together, celebrating diversity, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome and valued,” Bowery wrote. “Pride is more than a party—it’s a statement of love, acceptance, and resilience, and we invite everyone to be part of it.”

Tickets, event details, and event updates can be found on Letterkenny Pride’s Facebook, Instagram, and Threads. The festival is also raising funds on its GoFundMe to reach a goal of €3,000, of which it has collected 72%.

Additionally, for every €10 donated, one donor will be offered a two-night stay at Dunfanaghy in Green Nook with a voucher to The Rusty Oven.

This is the third year that Letterkenny Pride has been running, originally starting in 2023. Previous festivals included makeup activities for trans individuals, a dance class, and a queer comedy night.

The festival was created by a 10-person committee of both LGBTQ+ folk and allies who sought to bring a celebration of the queer community to Donegal.

Bowery wrote that she was excited to see everyone enjoy this year’s Pride festival. “We can’t wait to see the community come alive with joy, music, and solidarity,” Bowery said.
