LGBTQ+ charities in Ireland provide vital resources for queer youth, support mental health, and offer safe spaces for us to connect, uplift each other, and organise. With this in mind, if you are looking to give back to the community, here are some amazing Irish queer charities you can support.

TENI

Transgender Equality Network Ireland (TENI) is focused on ending the stigmatisation, discrimination and inequality that trans people face. The organisation’s work includes advocacy for policy reform and development, education on transgender issues, and support services for trans people. Donate here.

ShoutOut

ShoutOut delivers educational workshops that share personal stories from LGBTQ+ people to build allyship and fight against anti-LGBTQ+ attitudes. Trans & Intersex Pride Dublin

Trans & Intersex Pride Dublin returned to the Irish capital this year for their annual march, gathering thousands of people in solidarity with the trans community. The group is focused on achieving queer liberation, particularly for trans, intersex and non-binary folk. Donate here.

FLAC 

FLAC is a volunteer organisation dedicated to giving everyone equal access to legal aid. The organisation offers a free clinic to provide LGBTQ+ people with legal advice, and appointments must be scheduled in advance. Donate here.

Belong To

Belong To is an organisation dedicated to creating a society where queer Irish youth can thrive. It creates safe spaces for young people, where they can socialise, participate in advocacy, or get support and crisis counselling. Donate here.

GOSHH

Gender Orientation Sexual Health HIV (GOSHH) provides a variety of services related to sexual health, HIV and STIs. It provides its services to people within Limerick, Clare and North Tipperary. Donate here.

Dublin Lesbian Line

Dublin Lesbian Line is a confidential helpline that provides support, information and referrals for all lesbians, queer women and non-binary folk. It also hosts social events, such as Dyke Night, offering queer women+ a safe space to come together and party. Donate here.

Greenbow Deaf LGBT provides social events and resources for LGBTQ+ people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Donate here.

Gay Project

Gay Project aims to give queer, gay and bisexual men, alongside trans men and other men who have sex with men, the ability to participate in all facets of Irish society. It provides community groups, events, and training sessions. Donate here

Trans Harm Reduction

Trans Harm Reduction is a grassroots community group that offers a healthcare fund, peer support network, medical supplies and more to trans and non-binary folk. Donate here.

Equality for Children

Equality for Children campaigns for children of LGBTQ+ families to have a formally recognised legal relationship with both parents. The organisation hopes to expand the Children and Families Relationship Act so that both parents are recognised on their child’s birth certificate. Donate here.

The Rainbow Project

Next on our list of queer Irish charities is The Rainbow Project, which is dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQ+ people in Northern Ireland.
