Limerick Pride is once again returning with a week-long celebration from July 7 to 13. While there is still much to be announced about the programme of events leading up to the parade on July 12, Limerick Pride has announced a new Pride Village and The Climax Party, which will occur after the parade.
On April 5, Limerick Pride officially announced its exclusive Pride Village. Partnering up with the University of Limerick, the organisation has reserved a limited number of rooms and flats on campus for those attending the festival between July 11 to 13. This is to give attendees a safe, welcoming, and convenient place to stay during the weekend’s festivities if hotel accommodations are not possible.
This new initiative was done in response to a growing demand for accessible accommodation for many of the participants who travel from outside of Limerick to attend the event. Attendees will be able to book one to two-night stays and be right in the heart of the festival surrounded by other LGBTQ+ folk. The deadline for bookings is May 10, so it’s essential to act fast.
Limerick Pride Chairperson Lisa Daly said, “It’s great to have this partnership with University of Limerick and to give everyone the chance to celebrate Limerick Pride. By making the weekend more accessible to pride-goers from outside the city, we are happy to shine a spotlight on the incredibly welcoming atmosphere we have created through Limerick Pride”.

Alongside the village, Limerick Pride also announced The Climax Party on Saturday at 8:30pm. Hosted by beloved drag queen Victoria Secret, the party will feature RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner Kyran Thrax alongside a stellar line-up including Paul Ryder, Regina George, and other local and national drag artists, followed by DJ Ruth.
Tickets are on sale now for the event, with general admission costing €24.57 and VIP being €54.60. With these exciting announcements, many can’t wait to see what the rest of the Limerick Pride programme has in store for 2025.
