Maria Bello Receives HRC Equality Award

Last month, actress Maria Bello was honoured with the Human Rights Campaign Equality Award in Texas.

 
The 47 year-old actress, who came out in a New York Times article in 2013, spoke to an audience of LGBT campaigners in Austin, Texas at the HRC Austin Gala 2015.

Bello, who is known for roles in Coyote Ugly, World Trade Centre and Abduction, said, “I wish that the that one day the labels that discriminate against people be a thing of the past and we will not have to fight for the permission to love.”
