Morrissey has announced that he will play Dublin’s newly-named 3Arena this December 1, 2014.

The gig will be former The Smith’s front man’s first time performing in Ireland since 2011, and is two days after his scheduled performance in London on November 29.

The 55 year-old released his critically acclaimed autobiography in October 2013, which quickly became a best seller. In the book, he opened up about a relationship with a man, however quickly denied that he was gay. Following the books release he said, “Unfortunately, I am not homosexual. In technical fact, I am humasexual. I am attracted to humans. But, of course … not many”.

Morrissey will be supported by Anna Calvi in Dublin’s 3Arena (formerly The o2 Arena).  Tickets from €59.50 inclusive of booking fee are on sale at 9am on Friday, September 12 from Ticketmaster.
