Mother Announces New Pride Block Party Venue

Our good Judys at Mother have revealed the new location for the always unmissable Dublin Pride Block Party and this year's offering will be the biggest and best yet.

Mother Dublin Pride Block Party

As we start to think about summer and all the Pride joy it brings, Mother has made their first big announcement of what we can expect at Dublin Pride LGBTQ 2019.

On Saturday, June 29, Mother is teaming up with sparkling sponsor Smirnoff and throwing the BIGGEST Dublin Pride Block Party Ireland has ever seen!

This morning, after much anticipation, Mother has revealed the new location of this year’s Block Party.

After 9 years of fabulous post-parade celebrations, they have become the official Dublin LGBTQ Pride post-parade after party to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising.

Double The Party

Mother has announced that this year the party is headed to the spectacular National Museum of Ireland at Collins Barracks in the heart of the city centre.

Mother announced the National Museum of Ireland Collins Barracks as the new Block Party venue

Speaking about the move to this new location, Mother said this much bigger venue will play host to an outdoor festival style party:

“We are taking over these incredible, historic grounds to bring you the biggest, the most dazzling display of inclusivity that this beautiful site has seen in its rich 300-year history. We are doubling in size and building a Pride festival site in the grounds which will feature two areas, two brilliant stages, full bars, delicious food stalls, fantastic art installations. Join thousands of LGBTs and allies and dance away with the biggest line-up we have ever booked for Pride.

“We are so proud to have teamed up with The National Museum to host this Pride spectacular. Music, dancing, fun and inclusivity is the order of the day, so grab your tickets and join us after the parade.”

The line-up for the official post parade after party will be revealed soon, but judging by this announcement, we expect the party will include some seriously exciting acts.

Mother has promised that this is the first of a number of surprises coming our way and having set their stall with this venue reveal, we are super excited to see what else they have got up their sleeve!
