Navan Pride is set to take over the town once again with a vibrant and diverse lineup running from June 16 to 21. With a packed schedule of events leading up to the highly anticipated Navan Pride Parade on Saturday, June 21, this year’s festival promises to be bigger and bolder than ever.

Navan Pride has been actively engaging with the community through a series of fundraising events in the lead-up to the festival. One of the key fundraisers is the Loud & Proud Music Night on Saturday, 31st May, at The Lantern. Featuring performances from The Picnics Band, Arco Arena, Zeto & Dorian, and Spin-Itch, the event will support both the festival and its charity partners.

The recently announced Navan Pride programme for 2025 is as follows:

Monday, June 16 – Film Screening: Priscilla, Queen of the Desert
The festival will officially launch with a screening of the classic Priscilla, Queen of the Desert at Solstice Arts Centre. Attendees can expect an evening of humour and flamboyant fashion. Tickets are on sale for €7.50.

Tuesday, June 17 – Film Screening: Wicked
Continuing the cinematic celebrations, Solstice Arts Centre will also host a screening of Wicked. Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favourite characters, with costumes, capes, and a touch of green all welcome. Tickets are again €7.50.

Wednesday, June 18 – Breaking Down Barriers panel discussion
This special panel discussion on LGBTQ+ rights, past, present, and future, will take place at Solstice Arts Centre. The event, titled Breaking Down Barriers, will feature a panel of speakers discussing the challenges and progress of LGBTQ+ advocacy, adding greatly to this year’s Navan Pride lineup. Admission is free, but tickets must be booked in advance.

Thursday, June 19 – Open Mic Night & Drag Bingo
Navan Pride’s Open Mic Night will be held at Leon’s Café & Wine Bar from 6pm, offering a platform for singers, comedians, poets, and storytellers to showcase their talents. Hosted by Kazoo the Clown and Jesse Harkin, the event is free to attend.

Later that evening, Drag Bingo returns to Jackal, Navan, at 9pm. Hosted by the inimitable Victoria Secret, the event promises high-energy performances, laughter, and bingo with a twist. Entry is €5, and the event is strictly over-18s.

Friday, June 21 – Pride Music Bingo & Prideoke Party
The Central Bar, Navan, will host Pride Music Bingo at 9pm, followed by a Prideoke Party for those keen to sing the night away. Bingo books are €5, and attendees are encouraged to book tables in advance via (046) 902 7999.

The Grand Finale: Navan Pride Parade & After Party
The Navan Pride lineup wouldn’t be complete without the highlight of the festival, the Navan Pride Parade. It will take place on Saturday, June 21, with full details to be announced soon.

Following the parade, the Navan Pride After Party will be held at Henry Loughran’s from 3pm. Live performances from If, Point Taken, Dark Marx, and Colette Clinton, among others, will keep the celebrations going well into the evening.

With an exciting lineup of events spanning live music, cinema, discussion panels, and community engagement, Navan Pride 2025 is set to be a truly inclusive and joyous celebration. Navan Pride organiser Patrick Lawlor said: “We are delighted to return for our third year and brighten up our town with an array of colourful, entertaining and informative events.”
