As part of a national consultation, Mental Health Reform (MHR) is seeking participants to take part in a survey which deals with mental health services in Ireland.

The My Voice Matters survey will examine three main issues: what services are available; the experience of services provided; and how services provided could be improved.

The survey will be used to help MHR in identifying gaps in the mental health services and to help them campaign to improve these areas.

The results of the survey will be published by MHR in 2018 and will be submitted to the Mental Health Commission, the HSE and the Minister who is responsible for mental health.

MHR is an independent organisation and as such, the HSE has no editorial control over anything that they publish.

Confidential

MHR promises that the survey will be entirely confidential and that identifiable information such as name and contact information will not be collected.

There are two variations of the survey: one for people who have used mental health services and another for the family, friends and carers of those who have used them.

The ‘Service User’ survey is open to anybody who has used mental health services to assist with their mental health difficulty in the last two years. The ‘Family, Friends, and Carers’ survey is open to anyone who is supporting or has supported someone that has used such services in the last two years.

The survey will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete, and is open from November 3, 2017, to January 5, 2018.
