‘The Giver’ – Chappell Roan (2025)

Ever since her hit song, ‘HOT TO GO!’, Chappell Roan has been a staple on every Pride playlist. Her 2025 release, ‘The Giver’, ventures into the country genre and has her signature playfulness and wit. According to Chappell via Genius, the song reflects her multifaceted identity, stating “I’m gay and yes, I am ultra pop, yes, I am a drag queen who can also perform a country song”.

‘Lunch’ – Billie Eilish (2024)

With the recent release of James Cameron’s film Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour, Eilish’s 2024 song ‘Lunch’ has come back into the spotlight. It is a bold and flirty expression of sapphic sexuality, described by the singer during a Rolling Stone interview as “Part of what helped me become who I am, to be real, I wrote some of it before even doing anything with a girl, and then wrote the rest after.”

‘One of Your Girls’ – Troye Sivan (2023)

Troye Sivan is a gay pop singer who deserves a spot on every Pride playlist, especially his 2023 hit ‘One of Your Girls’. The music video is a must-see, featuring Sivan in full drag alongside actor Ross Lynch. Its funky beat carries meaningful lyrics about his experience as a gay man being treated as an experiment by men questioning their sexuality.

‘The Village’ – Wrabel (2019)

Wrabel’s ‘The Village’ is a slow and powerful queer anthem that highlights the struggles of the trans community and spreads the important message that “There’s nothing wrong with you”. The original 2019 song is from a trans male perspective, though Wrabel later released a ‘mtf version’ in 2024, along with a version sung by a beautiful chorus of trans people. It’s definitely a tune that will pull at your heartstrings.

‘Leave Me Alone’ – Reneé Rapp (2025)

Reneé Rapp is a rising pop singer who is proudly open about her lesbian identity and recently played Regina George in the Mean Girls 2024 remake. Her song ‘Leave Me Alone’ is full of attitude and fierceness, perfect for blocking out the haters this Pride.

‘I Will Survive’ – Gloria Gaynor (1978)

If ’70s disco is your vibe, ‘I Will Survive’ is queer classic that never goes out of fashion. Its themes of resilience and reclaiming power have made it a timeless queer anthem, and Gaynor’s infectious confidence is bound to get you into the Pride spirit.

‘Don’t Forget the T’ – Josh Tenor (2024)

‘Don’t Forget the T’ is an indie hip-hop song that advocates for unity and trans solidarity in the queer community. Its unapologetic lyrics and groovy beat will definitely have you moving.

‘Birds of a Feather’ – Billie Eilish (2024)

‘Birds of a Feather’ is another standout from Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft album that is a quintessential anthem for lovestruck queers. Of course, this list had to have Lady Gaga somewhere. ‘Runway’ came out just in time for Pride Month as part of the soundtrack for The Devil Wears Prada 2. Also featuring award-winning lesbian singer Doechii, this song truly captures the camp spirit of Pride.
