Looking for an escape from your busy, busy life but don’t have time to pack your bags and go away for a weekend? Here’s a solution for you: the Radisson Blu Hotel offers an incredible, relaxing experience at its Velvære Spa right in the heart of Dublin City.

Just off George’s Street, the Radisson Blu Hotel is located in Le Pole Square, a lesser-known and calm area that is still only a short walk away from the buzz of the city centre. So when I was invited to spend a weekend at this stylish hotel, I jumped at the opportunity.

Upon arrival, my guest and I were greeted by the incredibly welcoming staff, who sorted us out with all the info and gave us directions to our room. With their modern yet luxurious furnishings, the rooms at the Radisson Blu Hotel will cater to a traveller’s every need, complete with free Wi-Fi and in-room coffee and tea facilities.

Our beautiful room was just the beginning of this amazing experience, as the Radisson Blu Hotel has far more to offer its guests. Starting with the gorgeous options for food, the hotel offers incredible dining experiences at The Chancery Grill, The Dyflin Bar and the Dyflin Garden.

We were treated to an amazing dinner at The Chancery Grill, which is the quintessential “farm-to-fire” dining experience, complete with vegetarian options, to pair with a great selection of wines. My mouth is still watering thinking about that salmon! After the amazing meal, we were treated to a delicious drink in The Dyflin Bar, the perfect location to pair a nice chat with some company and liquor.

But the real star of the show, the place where all your most relaxing dreams will come true, is the Velvære Spa. The name (read vel-va-ray) is inspired by the Norse word for ‘well-being’, and for good reason. This spa has everything you could possibly need to let go of all your built-up stress, including a hydrotherapy pool, a Caribbean storm shower, an ice fountain and drench shower, a black Aspen Finnish sauna and a thermal steam room.

And that’s only in the Thermal Suite, but the Velvære Spa has even more in store. You can enjoy any one of the services from the carefully curated selection of performance-driven therapies, including custom body treatments combining the use of oil and techniques targeted to each zone.

If you’re looking for an even more unique experience, the spa also offers made-to-measure CODAGE Paris skincare on demand. This is a new, exclusive service in which a custom-made CODAGE Paris serum is created specifically for you following a comprehensive skin consultation with a dedicated therapist, who will carry out a detailed evaluation to assess and identify your skin concerns.

For more information on this and all that the Velvære Spa has to offer, visit the website here. And if you’re now convinced a weekend of relaxation is just what you need, head over to the Radisson Blu Hotel website to book your stay.
