Late last year, we brought you the news that a RuPaul’s Drag Race LEGO set might be in the works for release later this year. Now Funko Pop has just announced the Pop! Drag Queens range and our queer hearts can’t take it!

It all began two years ago when a member of the Pop! Vinyl forum funkofanatic.com began a petition to see the stars of RuPaul’s drag race created into the vinyl figurines.
Many other users posted on the thread in support of the petition and flooded the forum with suggestions of which Drag Queens they would like to see created.
About a year after the petition first started, the CEO of Funko, Brian Mariotti, made an unofficial three-word announcement making all of our wildest Pop! dreams come true…
After this announcement, there was a lot of excitement on forums such as Reddit but there has been no further confirmation until today when Funko published a blog post detailing the new range.
They have initially announced three:
In her signature Opening Titles Racing suit, Mama Ru’s Pop! Vinyl comes complete with the racing flags.
Alaska Thunderfuck 5000
Season 5 runner-up and winner of All-Stars season 2 Alasssssska with her signature snake around her shoulders.
Season 7 queen, co-host of Unnnnh and country singer Trixie Mattel.
In the blog post, they said that the three figures will be released on the 19th of January and will be exclusive to Hot Topic.
RuPaul fans have been reacting on Twitter. Fans are really excited and are already getting their requests in for their favourite RuPaul’s Drag Race drag queens.

Some have also been asking about other Drag Queens not related to the show, for example, the characters from To Wong Foo.

We can’t wait to get our hands on these guys, they look amazing and are definitely a collection worth starting! We just hope the other Drag Queens don’t feel too left out…
