Amazon Instant will make Golden Globe-winning show Transparent available for one day without a subscription.

Saturday, January 24, will see Transparent, which stars Jeffrey Tambor, made available for free for the entire day so it can be accessed by more viewers.

“We’re incredibly proud of everyone involved in the making of Transparent—the team took a risk and it paid off,” said Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon.com. “Big kudos and congrats to Jill, Jeffrey, and all the cast and crew.”

Transparent tells the story of Mort, played by Tambor, who comes out to her family as transgender, showing how the family comes to terms with this change and their own lives. It’s based on Jill Solloway’s own parent who revealed that she is transgender.

Tomorrow, you can binge-watch the entire series without a membership using the Amazon Instant app or at Amazon.co.uk/Transparent. Now that’s a great way to spend a Saturday.
