Last night’s Billboard Music Awards saw the return of the King Of Pop, Michael Jackson. Eh, sort of…
Michael Jackson, or rather a weird hologram of Michael Jackson, took to the stage to perform a track off his posthumous new album Xscape that was released this month.
The album features all new songs that were recorded before the singers death in 2009. Producers such as Timbaland and Darkchild were on hand to contemporise the tracks that were recorded as far back as the 1980s.
The hologram busts out some of MJ’s signature dance moves and performs the song Slave to the Rhythm.
It’s not the first time that an icon was resurrected for one final performance. In 2012, the late rapper Tupac Shakur was immortalised in a hologram at Coachella and performed alongside Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.
