ALL OF US STRANGERS, a new gay romantic fantasy film starring Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal, officially lands in Irish cinemas on January 26. But if you simply can’t wait that long, we’re offering our readers a chance to see it before anyone else! That’s right, thanks to our amazing friends at Searchlight Pictures, GCN has five pairs of tickets to give away to a special gala screening of the film in Dublin’s Light House Cinema on Friday, January 19.
Having screened at festivals across Ireland and the world, ALL OF US STRANGERS has already been met not only with rave reviews but also award nominations, including for Scott, who was up for Best Actor in a Drama Motion Picture at the recent Golden Globes. Mescal’s performance has also been widely praised, with the pair described as having “fearless chemistry” as they play lovers in the production.
Directed by Andrew Haigh, the film’s official synopsis reads: “One night in his near-empty tower block in contemporary London, Adam (Andrew Scott) has a chance encounter with a mysterious neighbour Harry (Paul Mescal), which punctures the rhythm of his everyday life.
“As a relationship develops between them, Adam is preoccupied with memories of the past and finds himself drawn back to the suburban town where he grew up, and the childhood home where his parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell), appear to be living, just as they were on the day they died, 30 years before.”
