Win one of five pairs of tickets to GCN’s special Town Hall Talks in association with The International Literature Festival Dublin this Saturday

 

We’re giving you the chance to win one of five pairs of tickets to the next GCN Town Hall Talks in association with The International Literature Festival Dublin this Saturday at 2pm in Belvedere House, 6 Great Denmark St, Dublin 1.

GCN Editor and author of two novels, Brian Finnegan, will be chairing the panel discussion on queer representations in Irish writing on Saturday.

Joining Finnegan in the discussion will be Irish writer John Boyne, who has recently penned an epic Irish gay novel called The Heart’s Invisible Furies and is the author of the critically acclaimed novel The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas.

Also speaking at the Town Hall Talks will be Mary Dorcey, author of the 1997 lesbian novel, Biography of Desire, Denis Kehoe and Claire Hennessy.

 

 

The panel will explore the representations of queer people and queer culture in Irish literature and celebrate the increasing diversity of it since the writing of ‘Tom Lennon”s novels in the 1990s, Crazy Love and When Love Comes To Town. 

Tickets to the event cost €10 (€8 commission) and can be purchased at the International Literature Festival Dublin website for those who don’t want to leave it up to chance with our competition.
