Sam Wheeler, star wrestler for Kent State University, was suspended from wrestling after he posted anti-gay tweets about the historic coming out of football player Michael Sam.
The college wrestler was reportedly suspended “indefinitely” for his comments, which have since been deleted from his Twitter account.
Before the offensive comments were deleted, Outrage DC were able to take a screen grab.
Michael Sam, a defensive lineman for Missouri State University, made history this week by revealing that he is gay. If drafted this summer, Sam could become the first openly gay player in the history of the NFL. Although his revelation was met with some negative comments, many fans and fellow athletes took to Twitter to congratulate the football player.

As if Michael Sam hadn’t already impressed the hell out of you, now he’s showing how brave he is, too.
