What is the point in celebrities if not to have us side with one over the other in feuds that have nothing to do with us?
Twitter has a become a mecca for such feuds, breeding rumours and gossip and hate – that’s really why it was invented, right? Well, it has become a breeding ground for celebrities to ‘clear up’ the gossip or just kindle the flames of the press.
Below are 10 of the best celebrity feuds this side of social media.
Lady Gaga VS Kelly Osbourne
Initially, Kelly did an interview in which she said that Gaga’s Little Monsters were “the worst” and called Gaga a “butterface”. Afterwards, she revealed that she was the subject of death threats and bullying via social media from Gaga’s fans. In response, Gaga said she had empathy but, basically, deserved it because her show Fashion Police bred negativity.
Even Kelly’s mother Sharon got involved by posting an open letter in defense of her daughter. Luckily, they buried the hatchet (not in each other’s necks or otherwise) at Elton John’s Oscars viewing party. PHEW.
Amber Rose VS Khloe Kardashian
Okay, so, this is a long one… bi model Amber Rose spoke in an interview that she was ashamed that rapper Tyga, 25, had left his wife and baby for 17 year-old Kylie Jenner. In response, Khloe took to twitter to slam Amber, saying that she shouldn’t talk about them in interviews as they don’t speak about her. Grand.
Then came a string of insults and tweets, most of which are hilariously entertaining, it ended eventually, but it doesn’t seem anything has been resolved. This is better than both of their careers combined.
Elton John VS Madonna
One of the most famous gay artists of all time up against the Queen of the Gays, well, this was bound to be hilarious.
In 2012, Elton was asked if Madonna had a chance of his winning in his category of Best Original Song and he replied that she didn’t have a “f***ing chance of winning”.
Madonna played it off lightly by laughing, replying, “those are fighting words.” But when she won the prize later in the evening, John’s face showed just how much he wasn’t joking.
Constipated with rage.
Ryan Murphy VS Kings of Leon
Ryan Murphy was pissed when the Kings of Leon refused to allow their music to be covered in his all-singing spectacle that is Glee. Then the KOL drummer responded.
“Dear Ryan Murphy, let it go. See a therapist, get a manicure, buy a new bra. Zip your lip and focus on educating 7yr olds how to say f–k.”
“[…] I would love to sit down with Nathan or any member of Kings and Leon, and tell them how on Glee we actually love their music, and support their artistry…but cannot condone or even laugh at their clear disdain of gay people. ”
Drummer Nathan then issued an apology and it seems things were cleared up.
Samantha Ronson VS Lindsay Lohan
In 2009, after a bust-up in a hotel, Lindsay took to twitter to have an oh-so-private argument with her ex Samantha Ronson, accusing her of cheating. “Being cheated on does wonders to you. I’m doing this publicly because u&ur friends call [US magazine] People. So you win, you broke my heart. Now go away. I loved you.”
It continued in a flurry of tweets.
“PLEASE leave me ALONE. And stop staying in the room below me, you’ve woken me and my mother up. Go to bed. Keep cheating — u win.”
Iggy Azalea VS Azealia Banks
Both rappers came to prominence in 2012, following their initial music releases. Then when Iggy made the cover of XXL magazine – Azealia was unimpressed… T.I., whose label Iggy is signed to, then weighed in, and again, Azealia was not impressed.
In 2013, Azealia continued feuds with everyone in the vicinity of a computer, before targeting Iggy once again for not speaking out on the Ferguson riots – while also pointing out that Iggy benefits from black culture.
its funny to see people Like Igloo Australia silent when these things happen… Black Culture is cool, but black issues sure aren’t huh?

The war shall continue.
Katy Perry VS Lady Gaga
No one knows when it started, but it hasn’t seemed to stop! Perry has a problem with Gaga’s blaspheming, while Gaga says there isn’t a feud when there clearly is – she tweeted the below after Perry’s tour opened in Belfast where she had partaken in similar stylistic choices to Gaga. Then Perry, in response, pretended to make herself sick – a spoof of Gaga’s ‘performance’ where an artist threw up on her.
