Darlings of dream pop, and clothes horses for Gucci

The Swedish-Australian twin sisters have spent the past two years teasing their growing fan base with sublime singles, the latest of which, ‘Games for Girls’, is a collaboration with Norwegian disco wizard Lindstrøm, pencilled for release on October 12.  The 23 year-olds have also slipped a sensual cover of Daft Punk’s ‘Instant Crush’ on to the internet in recent days.

The critically-acclaimed duo, whose prestigious releases also include ‘Everything We Touch’ and ‘Julian’, have spent 12 months assembling the record in Los Angeles, Stockholm and London.

Miranda and Elektra Kilbey, who are the daughters of Australian rock veteran Steve Kilbey, started out by founding their own independent record label, à Deux, before making their major label debut with the Columbia Records single ‘Better In The Dark’ last December.

The darlings of dream pop have also become something of a fashion phenomenon, starring in a glossy short film for Gucci and shooting for Vogue earlier this summer.

Say Lou Lou will return to the UK for performances at Bestival at Isle of Wight on September 4, and will later play a headline show at Heaven in London on December 4.
