A look at all the different Pride events and parades that are happening across Ireland in May and June, 2023.

With Pride season fast approaching, we at GCN have compiled a list of events happening across the country, showcasing all that Ireland has to offer when it comes to celebrating the LGBTQ+ community this summer. To start, here are some of the events that will take place in May and June for Pride 2023.

Wexford – Pride in the Park, May 27, 2023
Following up on the record success of 2022, ‘Pride in the Park’ is returning to Min Ryan Park on Saturday, May 27! To kick off Pride season, you can enjoy the family-friendly celebration with local performers and members of Ireland’s biggest Drag House, Haus of Mockie Ah!, from Cork. Anyone who feels like taking a stroll can explore numerous stalls by local businesses and community organisations promoting social equality across County Wexford.
The Pride After Party will be held at the Wexford Arts Community Centre and features a variety of LGBTQ+ performances from Disgraceful Cabaret hosted by Poppy De Scarce.

Mayo Pride – Westport, June 1 to 4
With the parade being held on Saturday, June 3, Mayo Pride presents a weekend full of events celebrating Pride 2023. Including drag shows, queer cabaret, diverse workshops, hikes and even a pizza party, there is certainly something for everyone in Westport.

Pride of the Deise – Waterford, June 2 to 5, 2023
Pride of the Deise returns from June 2 to 5 with a wide array of workshops and parties. Between queer history, pride markets and electro beats, everyone can find a queer event just for them.

Inishowen Pride – Buncrana, June 4, 2023
After successfully launching Donegal’s first-ever Pride parade last year, Inishowen Pride is returning in 2023 to host yet another event in Buncrana. There’s a host of workshops lined up to get you ready for the day, with the parade itself being held on June 4 after a Pride walk warm-up on June 3.

Tipperary Pride – June 10, 2023
Small but no less important, Tipperary Pride will take place in Thurles on June 10. The preparations are in full swing to bring you an array of sparkling performances. With the help of local businesses, the event promises to be a great day out.

Omagh Pride – June 17, 2023
Omagh Pride returns on June 17! The parade is scheduled to begin and end at the Mainstreet car park, where you can strut your stuff in your best Pride outfit. And in case you get hungry from all the marching, you can grab a bite at one of the many fabulous food stalls on site; from ice cream to fresh coffee, there will be loads of options up for grabs.

Dungarvan Pride – June 17, 2023
Dungarvan’s Pride in the Park will be held in Walton Park on Saturday, June 17, in what promises to be a fabulous celebration. Opening its doors to young and old, the family-friendly event is meant for everyone – seriously, even your dog is invited! A variety of music, food and entertainment will keep you in the mood to celebrate, and striving to be even bigger and better than last year, organisers want everyone to drop by for a good time.

Dublin Pride – June 20 to 25, 2023

One of the biggest highlights of Ireland’s Pride calendar, Dublin Pride will take place from June 20 to June 25. This year, the parade celebrates its 40th anniversary, and the occasion promises to be the biggest and best yet. As well as the Festival Village at Merrion Square, events will be taking place all across the city in the week leading up to the big day on June 24. And if you can’t make the parade, fear not, as GCN will be live-streaming it from 12pm on the day.

Navan Pride – June 26 to July 1, 2023

Closing out the Pride events for June 2023, Navan will be putting on its colourful face with a fantastic week-long festival. Celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and emphasising solidarity, fabulous events will be happening throughout the week, including film screenings, bingo and a quiz. And best of all, the week closes with a spectacular parade on Saturday, July 1.
