Netflix has finally released the long-awaited teaser trailer for the upcoming season 2 of Heartstopper and fans are loving every second of it. With a trip to Paris on the horizon, the new season will take Nick, Charlie and all their friends on a whole new adventure.
Based on the best-selling graphic novel series of the same name by Alice Oseman the show follows the blossoming romance between Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) and Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) as they figure out their new relationship, school, friendships and everything else that teenage life has to offer.
After recently giving us a first look at the opening scene of the new season as well as the episode titles, Netflix has now released the long-awaited teaser trailer. The 51-second clip takes us along with our favourite characters on an adventure towards the Eiffel Tower, filled with parties and heartfelt conversations.
Telling us a bit more about the plotline, the description of the new season reads: “Nick and Charlie navigate their new relationship, Tara and Darcy face unforeseen challenges and Tao and Elle work out if they can ever be more than just friends. With exams on the horizon, a school trip to Paris and a prom to plan, the gang has a lot to juggle as they journey through the next stages of life, love, and friendship.”
Author Alice Oseman also teased some new plotlines including the class trip to Paris, which is also featured in the graphic novels and an exploration of asexuality for Tobie Donovan’s character, Issac.

Next to Joe Locke and Kit Connor the show also stars Yasmin Finney, William Gao, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Sebastian Croft, Tobie Donovan, Rhea Norwood, Jenny Walser, Cormac Hyde-Corrin, and Oscar-winner Olivia Colman.
On July 1, cast members of the show were spotted at London Pride, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community with music and laughter. A video that circulated online also showed them hitting back at bigots who turned up to stage a counter-protest. The cast can be seen dancing and flipping off the anti-LGBTQ+ protester, in an open display of defiance.
