Grammy-winning pop sensation Chappell Roan has kicked off 2025 with a bold new sound, releasing her highly anticipated country-infused single, ‘The Giver’. Marking her first release of the year and following the massive success of her 4x platinum 2024 hit ‘Good Luck, Babe!’, Roan’s latest track is a boot-stomping, fiddle-driven anthem of dedication and dominance.
“Cause you ain’t gotta tell me, it’s just in my nature, so take it like a taker, cause baby, I’m a giver; Ain’t no need to hurry, cause baby, I deliver; Ain’t no country boy quitter, I get the job done,” she belts in the song’s high-energy chorus. Blending classic Western instrumentals with her signature theatrical flair, her fans are going buck wild.

“I have such a special place in my heart for country music,” Roan shared. “I grew up listening to it every morning and afternoon on my school bus and had it swirling around me at bonfires, grocery stores, and karaoke bars. Many people have asked if this means I’m making a country album??? My answer is… right now I’m just making songs that make me feel happy and fun. ‘The Giver’ is my take on cuntry xoxo. May the classic country divas lead their genre, I’m just here to twirl and do a little gay yodel for y’all.”

To celebrate the release, Roan is dropping five limited edition 7-inch vinyl records, each featuring artwork of her embodying different service-oriented characters—lawyer, dentist, plumber, private investigator—mirroring cryptic billboards that recently appeared in cities like Nashville, New York, and Los Angeles. The billboards, teasing “Your Ex’s Worst Nightmare”, fuelled fan excitement with a hotline number (620-HOT-TO-GO) offering an entertaining menu and song previews.

Ireland has been a stronghold for Roan, giving her her first No. 1 with ‘Good Luck, Babe!’ on both the Official Airplay and Singles Charts, followed by a chart-topping debut for The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. The track also earned nominations for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.
