Culture Night returns on Friday, September 18, 2026, with more than 300 free events across the country. The programme features a host of queer-focused events celebrating LGBTQ+ history, creativity, identity and community, from performances and pageants to walking tours, live music and immersive experiences.
Anything But Silent, Culture Night at Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre
5pm–11pm | Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre
Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre presents an evening exploring the many ways LGBTQ+ people make themselves heard. Through art, performance, storytelling and participatory experiences, visitors can explore queer identity, resilience, joy and collective memory. Across the building, artists and community members will come together to celebrate the many voices that have shaped queer life in Ireland.
Daylight Soundsystem with K8olo & Mooncup
Time TBC | Capel Street
Capel Street will become a dancefloor as Dublin DJs K8olo and Mooncup bring their distinctive sounds to Culture Night. K8olo is known for energetic, bass-heavy sets, while Mooncup blends global bass, rhythm, humour and emotion. Expect a lively, inclusive outdoor session celebrating Dublin’s DIY music and queer-friendly club culture.
Creating Connections, Traveller Lives
4pm–7pm | Pavee Point
Pavee Point invites visitors to experience Traveller culture through an immersive virtual reality experience. Creating Connections, Traveller Lives uses 360-degree films to offer an intimate look at Traveller traditions, including horse care and the experiences of Traveller women. The viewing takes place in half-hour slots, offering a unique opportunity to explore Traveller culture.
LGBTQIA+ Tour of Collins Barracks
5:30pm & 7pm|National Museum of Ireland – Collins Barracks
This special tour explores LGBTQ+ histories within the National Museum of Ireland’s collections. Looking at objects and individuals from the 17th to the 21st century, the tour reveals stories of gender, sexuality and identity that can often remain hidden within traditional historical narratives. Places are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Miss Powder Vacuum 2026
7pm–11pm |The Douglas Hyde
The wonderfully chaotic Miss Powder Vacuum pageant returns to The Douglas Hyde for another night of glamour, absurdity and performance. Curated by artist Bill Harris, the event brings together contestants of all shapes, sizes and species in a battle for the crown. With live performance, music, drama and plenty of catfights, it promises one of the night’s most outrageous queer spectacles. Book your ticket here.
Secret Lesbian & Queer History of Dublin 1
5pm–6pm | Gate Theatre
Historian Mary McAuliffe leads the return of this popular walking tour exploring the hidden lesbian and queer history of Dublin 1. Taking in locations around the Gate Theatre, the tour uncovers stories of women, sexuality and LGBTQ+ life that have often been overlooked in the city’s official history. Booking is required. Dublin Gay Men’s Chorus
8:05pm–9pm | Wood Quay Amphitheatre
Dublin Gay Men’s Chorus brings its powerful sound to Wood Quay for an evening celebrating music and community. With more than 80 members, the chorus has become a prominent part of Ireland’s LGBTQ+ cultural landscape, performing a diverse repertoire while providing a welcoming space for gay men. Their Culture Night performance promises a joyful and uplifting celebration.
The Amniotics
Time TBC | Ard Voltas Arts Space, Sligo
Queer punk-pop band The Amniotics bring their energetic live show to Sligo’s Ard Voltas Arts Space following a sold-out performance earlier in the year. The band will perform songs from their new EP alongside earlier favourites. The all-ages, alcohol-free concert offers a welcoming space for audiences to enjoy queer music and community.
