Elliot Page has joined Troye Sivan and others for a steamy photoshoot inside New York City’s historic Russian & Turkish Baths.
Shot by photographer Ryan McGinley for New York Magazine’s unique Men’s Style issue, the appropriately titled ‘The Boys in the Baths’ brings together actors, musicians, writers and artists for a clothing-light celebration of men’s fashion.
The shoot took place at the Russian & Turkish Baths on East 10th Street in Manhattan. Dating back to 1892, the institution has survived more than a century of New York history and remains the last of its kind in the neighbourhood.
The Baths also hosts dedicated men-only hours twice a week, which The Cut notes have become popular gay meet-ups.

Among those stripping down in New York is Elliot Page, fresh from his turn as Sinon in Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster The Odyssey. Wearing little more than Saint Laurent shorts and a necklace, the actor confidently shows off his tattoos, top surgery scars and seriously impressive abs for McGinley’s camera.
Page also spoke about becoming more comfortable with bathhouse culture in recent years, saying he now appreciates being able to simply sit somewhere and feel at ease in his body.
The photos arrive just weeks after Page revealed that, despite appearing in one of the year’s biggest films, new acting offers have not exactly been flooding in. Speaking on the podcast On Film… With Kevin McCarthy, Page joked that anyone interested was welcome to give him a call.
And Page is far from the only familiar face getting steamy. He joins Australian pop star Troye Sivan, who is photographed alongside The White Lotus actor Sam Nivola.

The shoot also features 13 Reasons Why star Brandon Flynn, playwright and actor Jeremy O. Harris, East of Eden stars Christopher Abbott and Mike Faist, actor Isaac Cole Powell, artist Rashid Johnson and musicians Del Water Gap and Porches, among others.
Book lovers may be particularly interested in seeing Booker Prize-winning author Marlon James among the men. James recently released The Disappearers, a queer epic set in 1980s Jamaica, which received an extraordinary response from The New York Times, with its review calling it “the novel of the decade, if not the century”.
Speaking to The Cut about reading the rave review, James joked that he remained in bed for around two hours because he was convinced he would wake up if he moved.

Meanwhile, Christopher Abbott also appears alongside Mike Faist ahead of Netflix’s new adaptation of John Steinbeck’s East of Eden. Abbott plays Adam Trask in the series, opposite Faist as his brother Charles, with Florence Pugh starring as Cathy Ames.
The bathhouse has also enjoyed a resurgence. Once frequented by figures including Jean-Michel Basquiat, it now regularly welcomes actors, artists and other famous New Yorkers, while its social media accounts have helped introduce the historic space to a new generation.
For the Men’s Style issue, New York Magazine gathered a mixture of regulars and first-time visitors around Labor Day and asked them to wear some clothing, though, judging by the resulting photos, not very much.
