A Gay In A Life - 30 Years of Gay Rights In Ireland

george

Creative team, In The Company of Huskies, teamed up with The George to create a mural celebrating three decades of the gay rights movement in Ireland.

This year, Ireland’s most iconic gay bar The George, turns 30. In those 30 years we’ve seen monumental changes in attitudes towards gay people. From decriminalisation in 1993, to the introduction of civil partnerships in 2009. We have out TDs, ministers, GAA stars and High Court judges – and soon the country has a chance to make marriage equality a reality.

See the making of this amazing mural.
