U2 frontman Bono celebrated a yes vote in Ireland’s marriage referendum by dedicating the song Pride (In the Name of Love) to the country.

U2 performed in Phoenix, Arizona, on Friday night, with Bono taking the time during the fitting song Pride to celebrate marriage equality’s victory.

Bono told the crowd: “It’s a moment for us to thank the people who brought peace to our country, who had the courage to compromise in Ireland,” said Bono. “Now we turn this into prayer…no greater love. Dr. King we need you now more than ever.”
