Speaking to Time Magazine for her incredible cover shoot, Adele casually mentioned that she doesn’t care if he ends up having a boyfriend.
The worldwide superstar appeared on the cover of the iconic Time Magazine and talked candidly about motherhood, and ever so casually implied that she doesn’t care about her songs orientation and will support him “no matter what”.
“He makes me so proud of myself, and he makes me like myself so much. I’ve never not liked myself. I don’t have hangups like that,” she said of her only child, three-year old Angelo.
“But I’m so proud of myself that I made him in my belly … I can’t wait to know who his best friends are going to be, who his girlfriend or his boyfriend is going to be or what movies he likes … Whatever my kid wants to do or be I will always support him no matter what.”
Since the start of her career, Adele has been considered a gay icon.
In an interview with Out Magazine, she shared a story about a young gay man she inspire to come out.
“He fancied someone at school, but he wasn’t out. And he listened to ‘Someone Like You’ and came out to his best friend and then to the boy he fancied, and it turned out that he was gay as well, and now they’re together — he’s like 15. I had to leave so I didn’t burst into tears.”
