WIN 2 FREE TICKETS TO SEE 69 SHADES OF GAY ON IN THE SMOCK ALLEY THEATRE FROM 30 MAY – 11 JUNE
’69 Shades of Gay’ is due to run in Smock Alley Theatre from 30 May – 11 June 2016. The show’s description reads:
Meet Aiden.
Cute Dublin gay boy-about-town, serial monogamist/random shagger, talented thespian (who works in the Electric Ireland call centre) and Meghan Traynor nut (yes, they do exist).
And the luckiest man in Dublin 8. Because Aiden’s about to shack up with boyfriend number 69, the marvellous Marcus – who’s literally Mr. Wright. OK, so Marcus hasn’t actually asked Aiden to move in with him/get married/adopt a spaniel… but Aiden’s sure he’s going to pop any one of (maybe all of) those questions tonight!
So in time-honoured fashion, Aiden’s spending the afternoon going through his smart phone, getting rid of texts, dodgy snaps, phone numbers and, of course, the apps – Grindr, Gaydar, Growlr… But there’s nothing like a mammoth deleting session to send a boy down memory lane. And Aiden has a lot of memories – 68 boyfriends’ worth. And he has some corking tales to share…
Hear all about boyfriend number 30, Jimmy – ‘fabulous six pack, thighs like bronze doors, and a colostomy bag he tried to pass off as a fashion statement.’
Say hello to Ronnie the midget, boyfriend number 42 – ‘Sleazy, the eighth dwarf, and what he might have lacked in height, he more than made up for in stamina.’
Meet boyfriend number 18, Frank P-feiffer – ‘The P wasn’t silent and after 30 minutes of him cracking his knuckles, I wanted to f-punch his p-fecking p-face.’
And let’s not forget boyfriend number 25 – because Aiden can’t. Number 25’s the one that got away. But can Aiden delete his memory as easily as he did his number?
All will be revealed – and more – in the funny, filthy 69 Shades of Gay, the latest play from Stuart Thomas, ‘one of the best comedy writers the Scottish stage has produced’ (The Scotsman) – FOR ADULTS ONLY
