Airbnb and Panti Bliss have teamed up to create Panti’s #HostWithPride Guide

In the run up to Dublin Pride 2016, the reigning Queen of Ireland, Panti Bliss, and Airbnb have joined forces to bring you Panti’s #HostWithPride Guide to help Airbnb hosts when it comes to giving recommendations to LGBT visitors.

The guide details some of the best things to do, shows to see and places to go during this year’s Pride in Dublin which takes place between 22-26 June 2016.

“Airbnb has always been a huge supporter of Pride around the world,” says Panti.

“As such, I’m excited to launch the #HostWithPride Guide to help hosts showcase some of the most fabulous spots in Dublin to their guests and help them live like locals during Pride.

“Ireland has always been known as a welcoming country but now, one year on from the momentous passing of the Marriage Referendum, we can say that Ireland is truly an incredible country that welcomes everyone, a country we can all be proud of.”

Bow Lane will be the place to be the morning after this year. The Sunday after Pride will be the first monthly Drag Brunch in Bow Lane where guests will be treated to a post Pride afternoon with a drag diva host, DJs, delicious cocktails, lip-sync battles and cupcake competitions!

Best Cocktail

Vintage Cocktail Club, Crown Alley, Temple Bar. Unassuming, almost hidden from the outside, but inside a gorgeous relaxed venue with amazing cocktails.

At the O’Connell Monument on O’Connell Street, wave like a royal as the parade passes by

Best Show

Shirley Temple-Bar’s legendary “Sunday Bingo Show” at The George has been packing them in for nearly 20 years! A drag queen cast of thousands(*may not be thousands), performing for a lively crowd of locals and tourists. A gay Dublin “must”. The Holiday show special pantos are eagerly anticipated.

Best Party

Of course the best party is Pantibar’s All Day Pride Street Party (!!) where the party takes over the lane outside the bar for the day.

Best Historical Spot

You’d be remiss not to visit the statue of Irish gay icon Oscar Wilde in Merrion Square park (location of  post-parade Pride party), where the famous writer and wit lounges languidly on a rock looking across to the house where he grew up.

Best Neighbourhood

Dublin 8 is one of Dublin’s most hip neighbourhoods with up and coming restaurants, dog friendly cafes and exciting bars.

Last year fifty thousand people attended the Pride parade in Dublin, and this year a similar number of attendees are expected.

Airbnb has predicted that four thousand Airbnb guests will be flying in to Dublin over this Pride weekend.

With hotels unable to fully meet the demand for rooms, there has never been a better time to dip your feet in the Airbnb waters than this summer!
