• Journalist Benjamin Myers claims he was paid to spy a group for gay teens while an intern at The Sunday World, by then-editor Piers Morgan. Myers alleges Morgan was convinced the group was a covert paedophile ring. “And so that night I found myself in a youth club playing the role of a sexually confused 16-year-old who had just moved into the area and was seeking some friendship and, hopefully, according to my new reporter friend, the advances of some predatory nonce,” Myers wrote. • Feminist author Roxane Gay has pulled her forthcoming book How to Be Heard from publishing house Simon & Schuster over ‘alt-right’ mouthpiece Milo Yiannopoulous’s $250,000 book deal with the publisher (Buzzfeed News)

• Lily Allen has been criticised after she tweeted a post from Gay Times, (containing a link to her anti-Donald Trump anthem) which contained a picture of somebody holding up a placard reading ‘Fags hate Trump’ (Digital Spy)

• The trailer for documentary This Is Everything: Gigi Gorgeous gives an unprecedented look at the YouTube sensation’s life. • Hungarian gay men suspected of being involved in sex-slave trafficking go to trial in Miami. Prosecutors are claiming that the three Hungarian men were forced to perform sex-acts for webcams or sell their bodies in New York and Miami by two men, also Hungarian. (Miami Herald)

• Two gay men were arrested in the Ivory Coast and officials won’t explain why. Prosecutors have declined to confirm which charge the men are being convicted of. Human Rights Watch director Graeme Reid said: “A vague law, arbitrary arrests and an unexplained conviction: this is completely contrary to the rule of law.” (The Guardian)
