The upcoming series finale of Sense8 has received a brand new trailer, and during it, we’re told that the gang have one more mission, “to save the 8^th”.

Given that the underlying message of Sense8 is about the value of diversity and social justice, we’re hoping the sensates aren’t talking about the 8^th amendment to Ireland’s constitution – which the country will be voting on come May 25.

Today, GCN published a special Repeal Issue, featuring a survey in which 91% of respondents to a survey of Ireland’s LGBT+ community said they will be voting Yes in the referendum to repeal the 8^th.

Meanwhile, Netflix will premiere the final episode of Sense8 on June 8, following a petition signed by over half a million people after the streaming giant cancelled the series.

The trailer, below, asks a question that’s agonized philosophers for centuries: What does it mean to be human? It’s a question at the centre of Sense8, and one the two-hour finale seems to be focusing on.

That, and saving the 8^th, of course.
