It has been announced that next years season of Orange Is The New Black will be the last.
Netflix made the announcement this morning and it brings one of their flagships shows to an end after seven seasons.
Jenji Kohan created the show based on the real-life memoir of Piper Kerman. Piper was indicted in 1998 on charges of money laundering and served 13 months in a federal correctional facility.
Taylor Schilling has played Piper Chapman in the series, who is based on Piper Kerman.
The series originally debuted in 2013 on Netflix and imediately won praise for its representation of diverse actors.
It is where actors such as Laverne Cox and Samira Wiley gained gloabal critical aclaim.
Orange is the New Black released a video on Twitter of the cast announcing the end and thanking fans.

Uzo Aduba said that although season seven will be the last, it will not disappoint, “It is a season you will not forget, we’re going to give you everything and more.”
The common thread all actors shared in the video was their gratefulness for the show and the fans.
“I’m so grateful for the fun times, the knowledge, the friendships, the love, the family that we have created together,” said Aduba.
Selenis Levya who plays Gloria Mendoza said she is going to miss the fans the most.
Kate Mulgrew who plays Galina ‘Red’ Reznikov said the show was “one of the most groundbreaking, original and controversial series of this decade”.
Fans have been flooding Twitter with messages of sadness and gratitude that the show is coming to an end.
