Bisexual ‘X-Men’ director, Bryan Singer is expecting a baby with his long time best friend, Michelle Clunie.
According to Singer’s representatives, Queer as Folk US actress Michelle Clunie is approximately 7 month’s pregnant. The two have been best friends for over 25 years.
In a statement released to TMZ, reps said:
“I can confirm that Michelle Clunie and Bryan Singer are happily expecting a baby together in early 2015. Best friends for 25 years, mother and father are both very excited about the upcoming birth and look forward to co-parenting the child together. The pair have been planning this baby for years and have been trying for the last two.”
Despite the pair not being romantically linked, Clunie is not a surrogate. The statement went on to say, “Contrary to reports, we’re told Michelle will not get paid for carrying the baby, but Bryan will cover living expenses … which is roughly equivalent to informal child support. He’s already purchased a place for her to live just doors down from his West Hollywood home.”
Speaking about his sexuality, Singer told Out Magazine in May 2014 that he is “quite bisexual” and that he has had relationships with women. He added,”I emotionally lean towards male relationships, so I’m happy to say I’m gay, too, if it’s a one-syllable, easy answer…If you look at the Kinsey Report, human sexuality is so complex.”
Earlier this year, two men attempted to sue Bryan Singer for sexual assault, but the law suits were later dropped.
Singer’s 2014 blockbuster, X-Men: Days of Future Past is the third highest grossing film of the year so far, having earned $746 million at the box office.
