Famous ice cream brand Cornetto has unveiled a new short film titled 40 Love, exploring a blossoming lesbian romance between a famous tennis player and a lines umpire.
The nine-minute short, told over four acts, features narration and a cameo by opinionated singer Lily Allen. It is part of a new campaign by Cornetto featuring seven short stories based on teen romance known collectively as Cornetto Cupidity Love Stories.
Ben Curtis, senior brand development manager for Cornetto Global told, “Following the enormous global success of last year’s launch of Cupidity, we wanted to extend the series; bringing to life an even wider range of teen love stories than ever before. The films bring to life perfectly our brand tagline Enjoy the Ride, Love the Ending as they depict the unpredictable ride of teen romance. We hope people all over the world enjoy watching and sharing them.”
David Alberts, chief creative officer of Mofilm and creator of Cupidity, added, “These are old fashioned love stories delivered in a new world way – for teens who are spending less of their time watching television and more of their time watching content online.
The company says its idea is to source stories and execute them with the use of celebrities and famous musicians in the films. Watch 40 Love in full below.
