The Guinness Storehouse, one of Ireland’s most iconic cultural attractions, marks its 25th anniversary this year, and to celebrate, the venue is teaming up with the Dublin Gallery Weekend for a packed programme of art, culture and conversation.
From November 7 to 9, Dublin 8 will be alive with cultural events commissioned by These Walls, a multifaceted creative platform. The aim of the programme is to bring site-responsive art into public spaces in a celebration of the neighbourhood.
This year, the Guinness Storehouse will reveal These Walls: Landmarks, a newly commissioned exhibition by Irish artists Hazel O’Sullivan and Niall de Buitléar in the Storehouse’s central atrium from November 7. This exhibition is a response to Guinness’s archival content from the legendary ROSC exhibitions of 1984 and 1988, which were held at the Guinness Hopstore.
These Walls: Landmarks also corresponds with the highly anticipated Christmas programme at the Guinness Storehouse, which will see the building come to life with festive flair.

You can then catch O’Sullivan and de Buitléar at 8am on Friday, November 7, at ‘Rising Conversations’, a very special breakfast event that will take place in the Gravity Bar. This event will be moderated by Michael McDermott, and panellists include Annie Fletcher, Director of IMMA and Eibhlin Colgan, Guinness’ Archive & Heritage Manager.
Throughout the weekend, guests are invited to sign up for ‘Walking Tours: Art in Motion’, a limited series of guided walking tours through the Liberties, charting Guinness’s centuries-old legacy of supporting the arts. On this tour, you’ll come across works by Deirdre Breen, Owen de Forge, Alice Rekab, Venus Patel, Thaís Muniz, Farouk Alao and Irish street art mavericks Aches.
‘Rising Conversations’ and ‘Walking Tours: Art in Motion’ are both free to attend; however, they are ticketed, so secure your tickets at this link to avoid disappointment. These Walls: Landmarks are available to see while visiting the Guinness Storehouse. More information on tickets is available right here.
In addition to the Guinness events, Dublin Gallery Weekend will play host to over 100 artists across 40 galleries, cultural institutions and creative spaces, with over 60 free events. You can discover the full programme right here.
