The 2026 Dublin Pride Run is set to take place on Friday, June 12. The event is organised by the Dublin Front Runners, who expect this year’s sold-out event to see over 2,000 runners and walkers taking part.

Starting at 7:30pm in Phoenix Park under the theme ‘We Belong’, the run is the largest LGBTQ+ sporting event in Ireland. It consists of a 5km course, with first, second and third place prizes available in the men’s, women’s and non-binary categories.

While the event celebrates movement, energy, physical activity and inclusiveness, it also raises vital money for local charities. Although the 2026 race is sold out, you can still donate to the fundraiser, with proceeds going towards supporting HIV Ireland, Midlands LGBT+ Project and Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre.

HIV Ireland will use the funds raised to deliver a 12-month, community-based rapid HIV testing programme for trans and non-binary people in Dublin. Midlands LGBT+ Project will be using their portion of the money to develop and provide community-led, inclusive sports and physical activity opportunities across Laois, Offaly, Kildare and Westmeath. Lastly, Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre plans to put the donations to use in funding its core support services, with a primary focus on boosting its community casework service and peer support group.

The Pride Run began in 2012, when they raised €3,300 for Jigsaw, formerly known as Headstrong. Since then, it has continued to go from strength to strength.

The 2025 run managed to raise over €76,000, a record-breaking figure in the event’s history. The fundraiser was divided between GCN, LGBT Ireland and Transgender Equality Network Ireland (TENI).

This year’s run has many sponsors, including AIB, marking their second year supporting the event. Orlaith Ryan, Chief Customer Officer at AIB, stated, “AIB is proud to support the Dublin Pride Run again this year. This event is more than just a race; it’s a celebration of community, inclusion and the positive impact of sport.”

She continued, “AIB’s ongoing partnership reflects our commitment to the LGBTQI+ community and our belief in fostering an environment where everyone feels valued. We are also thrilled to have a number of AIB colleagues taking part in this year’s run. We look forward to a fantastic event.”

Other Platinum sponsors of the 2026 Dublin Pride Run include Origin Enterprises, Spencer Lennox Legal Recruitment, EirGrid and Arthur Cox. There are other tiers of sponsorship, including Bronze and Silver, with MKO, Analog Devices, Merrion Fertility Clinic, 8 West Consulting, Fenero and Ocorian included in these tiers.

Dublin Front Runners Chairperson Chris Richardson said, “The Pride Run simply wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our sponsors and partners. Their commitment goes far beyond financial support — they are helping us create a welcoming, inclusive event that celebrates LGBTQ+ visibility, health, and community.

“On behalf of everyone at Dublin Front Runners, I want to sincerely thank each of our sponsors for standing with us and helping make Pride Run 2026 our biggest and most impactful event yet. Together, we are creating an event where thousands of people can come together to run, walk, celebrate, and show that inclusion belongs at the heart of sport and society.”
