Far-right provocateur hit by milkshake while protesting asylum seekers in Leitrim

Far-right commentator Rowan Croft was hit with a milkshake while he was broadcasting live on YouTube from Carrick on Shannon.

Milkshake being thrown on Rowan Croft

Far-right commentator Rowan Croft who is also known as Grand Torino had a milkshake thrown on him while filming a live stream in a pub in Carrick on Shannon.

Events were captured by Croft on his live stream, which is entitled, ‘Two Patriots Ambushed’ and shows two people approach Croft who was sitting talking with another man at the time.

One of the women can be seen throwing the contents of a coffee cup over Croft.

Croft and his guest were in Carrick on Shannon protesting “mass immigration”, particularly a number of migrants who were recently housed in a local hotel.

Workers Solidarity Movement summised proceedings in a Twitter thread:

“One of Ireland’s far-right provocateur’s just got milk shaked in Carrick-On-Shannon at the very moment he was saying he had no problems with arson attacks on refugee hostels. He’s a Youtuber known as Tan Torino because he joined the British army in the 1990s.

“In this clip, you can hear him say of a threatened attack “Many of the people down in Rosslare said they said they weren’t having it, they were going to burn the hotel down. Pretty much like what had happened back in the day and I’ve no problem saying that”.

“There have been three arson attacks on buildings designated as Direct Provision centres in Ireland in the last few months. There have been three arson attacks on buildings designated as Direct Provision centres in Ireland in the last few months.

Croft has made videos which many refer to as “racist and homophobic”. They include an interview with John Waters about the “homosexual church”, a commentary on “teaching trans to children” and has also tried to justified violent attacks on refugees.

Moments after the cup was thrown, Croft runs after the woman and a man can be heard calling the men “fascists”.

Croft goes on to say “if there had of been anything else in that milkshake, I’d have choked her the fuck out”.

This is the first incident of its kind in Ireland but there have been many similar incidents in the UK.

In May, the leader of the Brexit Party and British MEP Nigel Farage had a milkshake thrown at him while out canvassing in Newcastle city centre.

The Irish Patriot then uploaded a video of them outside of the Gardaí station in Carrick on Shannon where they said they made a statement.
