The ever-growing world of Drag Race is bringing you Canada’s Drag Race: All Stars and, with it, the franchise’s first-ever all-queen judging panel.
The series will have queen of the north Brooke Lynn Hytes return as host and judge. Joining her at the prestigious judging table will be Jimbo, winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars season eight, and Priyanka, winner of season one of Canada’s Drag Race.
Six one-hour episodes will make up the new spinoff series, which is due to come out later this year on WOW. A host of beloved queens from past seasons will come back for a shot at a new title and a $100,000 prize.
With Priyanka and Jimbo on the judging panel, it’s clear that Canada’s Drag Race is not playing. These two are big names and even bigger personalities in the Drag Race world. Priyanka is in a Spice Girls tribute group with Juice Boxx, another contestant from her season. Jimbo the drag clown, also originally from season one, is the first contestant not to be eliminated immediately after falling over during a lip-sync. Truly history-making.
The Canadian queens have proved themselves time and time again, never crumbling under the pressure of being the first Drag Race in the English language not to have RuPaul as host. Canada’s Drag Race has already spawned two other spinoffs: Canada vs. the World and Slaycation, featuring both Canadian and worldwide contestants.
This All Stars season follows Van Goth’s victory in the finale of season six of Canada’s Drag Race, which aired last month. For now, take a look at the first all-queen panel in the Drag Race universe below.
