Halleloo! It’s back again! GCN’s very own My Big Fat Gay Pub Quiz has returned, ready to put all you bright sparks to the test!
It was all the way back in April that we got Quizzical with the fabulous Bunny O’Hare and you all brought your A-games, so we thought – why wait a full year until the next My Big Fat Gay Pub Quiz?!
Now here’s the tea – it’s no secret that the gays love a quiz and we adore a good drag queen, so what’s better than a pub quiz in one of our fave gay bars, hosted by a great queen – the wonderful Victoria Secret?! Nothing, that’s what’s better. Nothing.
Taking over Street 66 Dublin on September 26, your hostess with the mostess will grill teams of four on topics including music, movies, pop culture, LGBT+ history and everything queer in an effort to discover who is the brightest group this side of the rainbow. While most winning teams usually consist of ‘The General Knowledge One’, ‘The Entertainment One’, ‘The Irish History One’ and the much rarer and lesser spotted – ‘The Sport One’, all this event’s teams will need is ‘The Gay Facts One’, ‘The Obsessive Gay Facts One’, ‘The Weird Gay Facts One’ and another ‘Gay Facts One’.
There are lots of incredible prizes to be announced soon, and if other years are anything to go by, you lot are in for a treat. But, like every pageant queen knows, it’s not just about the prizes, it’s about the TITLE. So get studying!
Don’t forget – Thursday, September 26 – doors open at 7pm, quiz starts at 8. This event is always a sell out and tickets are limited so make sure to book early for a riotous night of laughs and sheer entertainment.
All proceeds go to support GCN, Ireland’s national LGBT+ press, reflecting queer life for over 30 years.

Support GCN
GCN has been a vital, free-of-charge information service for Ireland’s LGBTQ+ community since 1988.
During this global COVID pandemic, we like many other organisations have been impacted greatly in the way we can do business and produce. This means a temporary pause to our print publication and live events and so now more than ever we need your help to continue providing this community resource digitally.
GCN is a registered charity with a not-for-profit business model and we need your support. If you value having an independent LGBTQ+ media in Ireland, you can help from as little as €1.99 per month. Support Ireland’s free, independent LGBTQ+ media.
