Next year marks the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre’s 9th year and to celebrate they have announced 9 sensational new shows set to take to the stage in 2019!
There are a host of amazing shows to look forward to in 2019 including the Irish premiere of Kinky Boots and the return of Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat!
Prepare to have Christmas presents sorted for every theatre gay in your life as tickets go on sale this Friday, November 23.
Irish audiences can look forward to an incredible line up of smash hit West End and Broadway musicals, unmissable drama, opera, dance, and music – as well as some firm favourites which return by popular demand.
A line-up of show-stopping musicals will take to the stage in 2019, including one of the all-time greats from the golden age of musicals, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I which waltzes its way back to Dublin from May 21 – June 1 2019.
Other musical favourites making a welcome return to the Bord Gáis are Dirty Dancing from June 24 – 29 2019 and smash hit musical, The Bodyguard starring the sensational Alexandra Burke from August 07 – 17 2019.

On Monday, the Bord Gáis also announced the Irish Premiere of multi Olivier award-winning Kinky Boots with a book by Broadway legend winner Harvey Fierstein (La Cage aux Folles), and songs by Grammy and Tony-winning pop icon Cyndi Lauper which will run from August 19 – 31 2019.
Next autumn will see the iconic Caberet return to the stage from October 01- 5 2019 followed by new production of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat from October 08 – 12 2019. Rounding off a wonderful year of musical theatre will be Queen and Ben Elton’s We Will Rock You from October 28 – November 2 2019.
