Letterkenny Pride Festival 2026 is set to make its return this summer running from, May 29 to 31, with the parade set to take place on Saturday, May 30.
In past years, the Donegal celebration took place later in the year, but for 2026, it will run just days before Pride month.
“We are thrilled to bring Pride to Letterkenny to the very start of Pride month,” a spokesperson for the Letterkenny Pride Committee said in a statement. “By opening the June Bank Holiday weekend, we are not only celebrating diversity and inclusion here in Donegal, but also connecting our community to the global tradition of Pride.
“This is a powerful moment for Letterkenny Pride – a chance to celebrate and shine brilliantly, live boldly, love openly and continue building a future where everyone belongs.”
This year will see the glorious return of Eurovision superstar Mickey Joe Harte, but that’s not all. The festival has teased a number of other performers set to bring the party for Letterkenny Pride 2026, and they include Aidxn G, Cally Rhodes, Tanya McCole, and High Heeled Converse.
Last year’s festivities included workshops, trans-made film screenings, drag brunch, markets and lots, lots more – and this year’s event promises to be just as unmissable. Councillor Declan Meehan said this year’s festival – the fourth in its history – is bound to bring “light and positivity” to both the town and the wider Co. Donegal.
He said: “A rich celebration of diversity, Letterkenny Pride has become a staple of the calendar in Donegal. To see next year’s Pride take place over the June Bank Holiday Weekend – the original Pride month – is to understand that every Pride celebration sits in an international and historical context of both protest and celebration.”
Ahead of this year’s festival, Letterkenny Pride is running a fundraiser, which you can learn more about here.
