In what can only be described as a snafu, Madonna has praised the slightly unpopular Margaret Thatcher – much to her fans’ dismay.
Madonna took to her Instagram account to praise the late British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, whose run in Britain was controversial to say the least.
Madonna’s gay fans are mostly displeased as Thatcher passed Section 28 during her term, banning the ‘promotion’ of homosexuality in schools, among other things…
Following a number of negative comments, Madonna quickly deleted the post (#unapologetic?) but, as you know, what is posted on the internet can never be deleted.
I always did think of Madonna as Thatcher in a pointy bra. Now we have proof. http://t.co/W1sJlLJOHy

Madonna deleted an instagram post praising Margaret Thatcher. Might want to avail of the “rent-a-spine” business that Thatcher once proposed

How irony works No 741: Madonna posts Thatcher quote about being #unapologetic. Twitter dislikes post. Madonna deletes post. — Steve Bennett (@SteveChortle) April 21, 2015
I wonder if Madonna knows that back in the 80s she was exactly the kind of person Thatcher would have buried alive… pic.twitter.com/pRRLsOI5kd — Barry Legg (@BarryLegg) April 20, 2015
At least we all know now that Madonna runs (and fucks up) her own social media. During the promotion of her latest album Rebel Heart, Madonna already leaped into hot water with her gay fans by admitting that she believes that gay rights are more advanced that women’s rights.
