As we move from summer to autumn, these new music releases from Irish queer artists will add some heat to your playlist. From dancefloor hits to soft break-up anthems, find a track to suit every mood below!
Ailbhe Reddy – ‘Align’
Having just signed with US label Don Giovanni Records, Irish star Ailbhe Reddy has released a brand-new single, ‘Align’. The track comes as the indie singer prepares for a show in the National Concert Hall on September 20, where an intimate audience will be among the first to hear her new material live.
Pillow Queens – ‘be a big girl’
Irish queer rockstars Pillow Queens are back with a new single. Taking the phrase “be a big girl” and turning it on its head, the band advocates for screaming, crying, fighting and standing your ground with this track.
Soda Blonde – ‘People Pleaser (Elaine Mai Remix)’
Ahead of the release of her new album For Us on September 26, Elaine Mai unveiled a dynamic remix of Soda Blonde’s ‘People Pleaser’. One of Ireland’s most exciting electronic artists will also play a headline show in the Button Factory on October 25, as well as The GALAS, Ireland’s LGBTQ+ Awards, on October 4.
SexyTadhg – ‘Claim My Love’
Following an explosive start to 2025, breakout star SexyTadhg has released a fabulous new single, ‘Claim My Love’. Bringing together big band jazz with a theatrical soul and pop flair, the song is a radiantly upbeat, feel-good anthem.
Cat Turner – ‘Take It Out On Someone Else’
‘Take It Out On Someone Else’ is the latest track from Cat Turner. You can also look forward to upcoming releases from the queer Irish artist, as her next single, ‘Coming,’ arrives on September 26.
Ocean Tisdall – ‘Making It Easy’
Ocean Tisdall is an exciting new voice in Ireland’s alt-pop scene, and this quiet heartbreak anthem is a masterclass in letting go. It is reflective, graceful and piercingly honest.
Calum Agnew – ‘At Least’
Named Hotpress‘ New Local Hero 2025, Calum Agnew returns with his most emotionally exposed release yet. ‘At Least’ is a slow-burn about longing, self-worth and the ache for affection.
Namya – ‘Speakeasy’
Namya is an independent Irish artist creating alternative pop music rooted in identity, storytelling and cinematic sound. The single ‘Speakeasy’ is a moody, genre-blending track about carving space in a world not made for you.
Kayleigh Noble – ‘All Night’
‘All Night’ from Kayleigh Noble is a perfect party anthem. With an infectious beat and silky vocals, stick this one on at pre-drinks, the afters, or on the dancefloor.
SPRINTS – All That Is Over
If you’ve made your way through all the tracks on this list and still want more, fear not, as SPRINTS’ brand-new album is coming soon. Releasing on September 26, All That Is Over pushes the band’s dynamics into richer territory, finding new space and nuance while also going harder than ever.
Bonus: Jim Verraros – Explicit
While not an Irish artist, Jim Verraros is a queer pop trailblazer deserving of a spot in your playlist. Explicit is his new six-track EP, marking the American Idol alum’s first major release in nearly 15 years.
