- Barack Obama has paid tribute to same-sex marriage and LGBT rights in his farewell speech. “If I had told you eight years ago… that we would win marriage equality, and secure the right to health insurance for another 20 million of our fellow citizens – you might have said our sights were set a little too high,” Obama said. “But that’s what we did. - Radar have misleadingly reported that George Michael’s partner, Fadi Fawaz, has been embroiled in a ‘gay porn scandal’. In fact, it was widely known that Fadi Fawaz filmed adult scenes in 2006 under the alias Isaac Mazar. (Queerty)
- Bill and Melinda Gates plan to invest $140 million in a PrEP implant. The medication will be implanted into the abdomen which would be delivered over the course of 6 months or a year. (Youtube)
- Austin Armacost says he is a “very asexual person”, contrary to what most people would think. “I am probably in all honesty the least sexual people you will ever meet,” the Celebrity Big Brother star said. “As much as I love getting my kit off and showing my bum everywhere, I am like a nun in bed.” (GSN)
- TV show Charmed which starred Shannen Doherty, Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs and Rose McGowan looks set to get a retro reboot. The new TV show will be set in 1976, two decades before the events which took place in the 1998 series and will have Jennie Urman at the helm of the show. (Out)
- Hari Nef became the first trans woman to say “because I’m worth it” for L’Oréal Paris in an advertising campaign. “Skin is the first thing you see,” Nef said. “Just being seen in your skin can be so vulnerable.” (GSN)
