In a new video released by Human Rights Watch, experts call for authorities to address the horrific homophobic abuse against LGBT people and activists in Russia.

The video calls for Russian authorities to “repeal the federal propaganda law because it only inflates this type of violence”, it also says that “[the gay propaganda law] only shows Russian people that the LGBT community are second-class citizens, and that violence against them is normal.”

The video features very graphic footage of individuals being subjected to violence. Viewer discretion is advised.
