Although you’d never guess from its flawless exterior, Pantibar turned 10 yesterday.

To celebrate the important milestone, we put together our 10 favourite things about one of Dublin’s LGBT hotspots. Since we know it’s such an iconic landmark of Dublin’s gay scene, we also asked our readers to share with us their favourite memories in Pantibar.

Here are their stories:

1. Welcome To Dublin

My favourite memory is my first night there. I’d just moved to Dublin to start a new life with my partner in Ireland and we were living just a short walk away. So few hours after stepping off the plane I was sipping a pint in Pantibar. The start of a great new adventure for me.

The day of the referendum result, I brought my daughter, age 8, to witness history being made, a time where love is love, where people really made a difference, and I said to her: I hope you never forget this day when the people voted for love.

I remember the first time I went to Dublin Pride with my boyfriend, about 5 years ago, we went to Pantibar after the parade. He had never been a fan of Pride and never been to one before so it was a big deal for him. It was such a great day, we had so much fun and spent the night there with friends. Amazing time.
