It’s hard to imagine a world in which Stephen Fry doesn’t enrich our lives with his brand of amusing yet informative micro-messages – but now the actor bids farewell to the Twitterverse for his own safety.

In a somewhat vague tweet, the genius actor/comedian/presenter, said goodbye to his 8 million Twitter followers due to safety concerns in an undisclosed location that he is currently filming in.

While the once prolific Tweeter hasn’t mention what (or where) he is filming, it could be one of two projects that he is currently starring in. He will appear in Alice in Wonderland: Through The Looking Glass as the Chesire Cat, and in the Martin Scorcese produced wartime drama, Tomorrow.
