An unintentionally hilarious piece of hate mail criticising a host of Ireland’s TV gays is doing the rounds on social media today

The poorly-scrawled postcard, sent to Pantibar and posted by O’Neill on social media, is one of many such missives the popular performer receives regularly.

“I think this is one of my favorite pieces of “fan” mail ever!” wrote O’Neill of the postcard on Facebook.

“So…. direct. And displays an admirable grasp of the sexuality of various Irish telly types. And a wide vocabulary of words for queers. And on a lovely postcard of a Dublin scene!”

The postcard in its entirety reads:

“O’NEILL! LOOK HERE U ARE A “QUEER” NO? UR LIKE COURTNEY, D KENNEDY, AONGUS MAC RIANA, ALAN HUGHES, CASSIE STOKES ETC. TV IS FULL OF UR TYPES, LOT. “BACKS TO DA WALL”. ACCEPT IT “TOUGH LUCK”!!. UR “BENT”. U ARE DESCRIBED AS “SHIRTLIFTERS” “MUD PLUGGERS” “REACTORS” (??) “ROUND DA CORNER FELLAS” ARE U A MAN OR A MOUSE OR WHAT, U EEJITT!!”

The Twitter-sphere was predictably amused, with some users criticising the writer’s illegible penmanship.

…while others threw shade at the writer’s choice of target.
