We’ve seen SO many flash mob proposals – but how many people can say that their other half composed a song for them?
Braeden Ayres, a music teacher, proposed to his boyfriend Ryan in the cutest (or perhaps cheesiest) way. He wrote a song specifically for Ryan and had his mens chorus perform it as he got down on one knee.
Ryan is also a member of the chorus and had practiced the song with the group without a clue that it was penned by his boyfriend. The penny dropped during one of the rehearsals when Braeden asked his beau to step out from the chorus line.
Talking to Huffington Post about the proposal, Braeden said, “I wanted it to be something that only I could give him. The one thing I knew I could do was write something from my heart, and even if it wasn’t the ‘best song in the world,’ it would be an honest expression of all the reasons I want to spend the rest of my life with him. Now it’s something we’ll have forever.”
