Family "Appalled" That They Are Being Used In 'No' Poster

The family in a poster against marriage equality are said to be “appalled” that their image is featured.

Recently, English comedian Jason Manford snapped a picture of a ‘No’ campaign poster erected by Mothers and Fathers Matter while in Ireland and quickly slammed it on Facebook.

It was soon seen by fellow comedian Adam Hills, who was shocked for another reason. Hills took to Facebook and Twitter last night to explain that the family featured in the picture are friends of his wife and “are appalled that their faces are being used, without their permission, to promote something they wholeheartedly disagree with.”

The family posed for the stock image and it can be bought and used by anyone, however, Adam Hills wanted everyone to know that “the beautiful family on that poster is all for Marriage Equality.”

In response to Hills’ tweet, many have called for the family to partake in a photo shoot to show their true beliefs but we’ll have to wait and see.
